AN AUTHORIZED OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT DEALER BASED IN SOUTH CAROLINA

RAY'S TRACTORS BEGINS WITH OUR FOUNDER

The founder of Ray's Tractors, Ray Lamothe, was born and raised on a dairy farm in Northern Vermont, next to the Canadian border. His father was a tractor mechanic before going into farming, so Ray was taught at an early age how to repair and maintain the farm tractors. In his twenties, Ray left the farm to become an equipment technician, servicing printing equipment all over the Northeast and eventually started his own service company. Many years later, the company evolved into sales of printing equipment all over the world. In 1995, Ray moved to Manning, South Carolina to enjoy the warmer climate and in 2014, he stopped selling printing equipment and started refurbishing compact tractors. It was then that Ray realized he enjoyed using his hands again! Ray knew that anyone who owned or wanted to own a small tractor would find it very expensive to maintain an older tractor. So he did some extensive research into newer tractor manufacturers and found some of the tractors to be too expensive for a person who used such equipment only part-time. In addition, the low-price tractors were not very good, and parts were expensive and hard to find. After driving around Georgia and the Carolinas talking to tractor dealers, Ray realized that there was a tractors that fit the market very well and that was the Branson Tractor. These tractors are very well-made, and we’re proud to sell them at Ray’s Tractor’s in Manning today! In the years since, Ray's Tractors has branched out to selling mowers, tractor implements, and UTVs to homeowners, landowners, hunters, and farmers across the southern states. Now in 2020, Ray has been joined by his son Shawn who has 13 years of experience servicing rental equipment.
